Why not? The purpose of a beta is testing. If you find a glitch that someone could unfairly exploit you're doing the developers a favor by exposing it such that they can patch it, keeping the game fair when it's finally released. They'll find the glitch sooner or later anyway, why not get credit for finding and reporting it yourself? You may be rewarded some way for it.
