What is the pigment that give green colour to the leaf?

    green plant chloroplasts have mainly chlorophyll a

    there is also chlorophyll b and c (brown algae have a lot of these)

    carotenoid pigments (red pigment, tomatoes I think...)

    xanthophyll pigments (yellow, marrigolds? spell?)
