    It is more or less the same as an mp3 player except it has the ability to play mp4 videos.

    Some players can play a variety of other formats to. It just depends what player it is.

    way better than the mp3.unlike the mp3 the mp4 can download videos,pic's,and on mine you can even record your own voice.(i have a craig mp4 player)

    it can do loads you can download video put songs and images on it and listen to the radio it is a wicked piece of equipment to have

    MPEG-4 (*.mp4) is a type of video. Apple uses MPEG-4 audio-only files (*.m4a) in its iTunes Store.

    basically. mp3 means audio. mp4 means video.

    An MP4 Player is a video player, that playes MP4 Videos.
    The downside to having one is that the video files have to be in the MP4 format, but there are lots of different MP4 converters you could try, you should have a look on download.com:

    Of course some of the MP4 Players will have software supplied to convert videos to MP4 anyway.

    Also, the new Sony Playstation Portable has a built in MP4 Player.
