He was a giant mummy made out of night dust, or so that's what I called it. You know like, when you look in the dark for a while, and it's like, it seems that all these particles and stuff are moving? I kept looking at my toy chest and somehow my imagination conjured a giant mummy that kept seeming to get bigger and bigger and coming over here. I got scared haha. I figured that by closing the chest, the mummy would go away but I didn't wanna get out of my bed. And even on the nights that my dad closed it, the mummy still came. That filthy bastard. And then it was...pipes. Like water and heating pipes. When I was really small, I barely even remember this aside from vague memories and my dad's retelling of it, but our house caught on fire because the wood stove pipe messed up or fire went up into it or something. It was at night and I was asleep and I was abruptly woken and scooped out of my bed outta nowhere and brought out of the house. The house wasn't that damaged and we could still live in it, but the pipe from the stove that went all along the hallway ceiling was all blackened and it freaked me out. I barely recall but apparently I was dead scared of it and didn't want to go in the hallway unless one of my parents came with me. After that, even when we moved out of there I was afraid of pipes everywhere. Stove pipes, water pipes, even those tubes for drying machines, and it freaked me out even more that those moved on their on when the machine was turned on. I used to think I heard pipes talk about me in my walls at night, and bothered my parents by screaming in the dead of night about pipes wanting to kick my ass. So, I guess that was another bogeyman; pipes. Yeah it's pretty sad, but it did go away eventually, and today, I take used drying machine tubes, scrunch them up and put them against my crotch and then release it and it goes flying like a great big boner then my boyfriend's all like, Imma have to sell you to a circus. Michael Myers is another bogeyman. He scared me for years when I first watched Halloween II when I was about 12.
