Your tax dollars in the USA have been used by companies like Goldman Sacks and they used those monies to invest in the stock market and make LOTS more $, but those monies have not filtered down to create jobs. Does that make you really mad?

short term it makes me feel like like i got screwed and no kisses. how they 'lend' out dollars in the future will be key to reputation as buiders of the economy or destroyers of the economy

Nope, it makes me feel like we should take away their corporate welfare checks.

It is disgusting. I supported salvaging the financial system. I am convinced that had it not been done, we would now be in asecond Great Depression. But the TARP should money should have been doled out with strings attached to make sure the system didn't go right back to the risky, valueless trading that created the problem. Micro trading and bundling risky investments, re-leveraging them and selling them with the taxpayers left to cover the risks, this does NOTHING to enhance society. They are solely a means to transfer even more wealth into the pockets of those at the top of the economic chain already.
