  • Well in order for you to be able to double check the answers, you'd have to use mathematics. Define what a "one" is.
  • I think this site is a parody of the 'micro/macro-evolution' argument of creationists.
  • Math is not a physical thing, nor is math in any way a part of or inherent in the universe. Math is a system. A mental exercise based on postulates (more often called Axioms), and as such it is definitely genuine. So yes we know for sure that 1 million times 100 is 100 million. The Axioms of our math makes that the only possible result. ( but we could have chosen different axioms ;-))
  • I love it. I read the whole site. The logic is far cleaner than most of this Christian non-sense (which is the single biggest reason I think it's a parody). But I really can't decide for sure if I think it's a joke or not. At any rate - I think it's pretty funny. Thanks to 773491 for turning me on to it.
  • Has to be making fun of creationists with macro-math and micro-math. Math is proven there are no holes in is theory.
  • the problem with this site is that we are talking about theory vs fact. the fact that 2 apples plus 3 apples =5 apples, is demonstratable constantly. and we say 2+3=5 the problem with his example of pi. 3.14159....... is that scientists say it goes on forever....well we have calculated it for a very long time but not forever. secondly we see rationally that the circle ends around a length distance. and thirdly this is only in a numberscale that we see as 10 base not 12 or 3 base. lastly when we say 1/3 of 10 which is 3.3333..... on and on. it is still a constant number just our number system states that it is infinite, if we reverse it and say 3.33333.... x 3 equals 10..... not 9.999999999999....... because somewhere their is another amount of 1/3s. thus just because our math is good or even great but not perfect we dont need to throw out the Baby with the bathwater. looking at is no problem and I love GOD and math. but if I use 3 instead of 3.14159... in my equation of being around a line, it will work out fine for most projects.... and could you imagine if the Bible said 3.14159.... would be pretty funny. +3 GOD BLESS
  • Math is a series of 7 theories. Each of the other 6 can be proven if you assume that 1 is true. So my question to you is, does 1+1=2?
  • Well first of all if you think this site is BS you can just leave or stick around and perhaps you will warm up to you. Now for your question well technically numbers and time aren't real it's just something we came up with to help us organize things, if you want to do away with numbers go ahead, why don't you just do away with letters and talking as well. All letters are is a way to translate our thoughts into a visual representation. Talking is just a bunch of sounds if you want to break it down. I think I will stick with the standard ways of communication and counting, if you want to come up with a better way or just become a hermit to avoid numbers, letters and talking then the best of luck to you.
  • For me, this is obviously a parody. "That's a parody about the stupidity of the creationist micro/macro-evolution argument right? Because if it isn't, that would be the most ridiculous attempt at discrediting science I've ever seen.." Source and further information: http://mathmyth.webnode.com/guestbook/ "But, some pastors are part of the problem. There are any number of reasons but some of them are: Having congregations so large macro-math is used to count them and the income they bring. Being secretly in league with the government - and they don't want to risk their position. Having very large incomes depending on not taking up controversial issues." • its real
  • Whether the site is a parody or not I can't go any further than this sentence on the second page: "But there is a very important think to keep in mind." A very important THINK? Spellcheck + Proofreading = Good Copy. (Grammar math)
  • Everything beings with a given - all knowledge boils down to some kernel of faith. It's that simple.
