  • Not at all. Forgive the usually crude analogy, but it's not the size of the organ but how you use it!LOL (And in some cases,..if you use it)!
  • Seems to be. The ratio of brain weight to spinal cord was suggested to be an approximate measure of comparitive intelligence among mammals by Warden in 1951 (Bryden and Harrison). Animal Brain weight to spinal cord ratio Fish <1 Horse 2.5:1 Cat 5:1 Apes 8:1 Tursiops 40:1 Humans 50:1 Data from Bryden and Harrison (1986). http://instruct1.cit.cornell.edu/courses/bionb424/students/ckr5/neuroanatomy.html
  • I don't agree with Mike, look at animals that are bigger than us. Women are usually smaller than men, does that mean they're less intelligent? A good explanation has more to do with the complexity of the brain; the connections between neurons and nuclei of the brain. Our brain is more complex compared to other species.
  • No I do not believe so. A womans brain normally weighs slightly less than a mans brain. There is no difference in intelligence between the sexes. It is how the brain is used not how much it weight or which parts are more developed http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/bb/kinser/Int3.html
