Help answer this question below.
In her horribly written, horribly acted, horribly over rated movie it's like seeing sunlight sparkle of a human sized diamond.
Stephanie Meyer had a dream about this book before she wrote it. In the dream she saw a beautiful vampire who had a shimmery glow to him in the sunlight. This is a different idea as to why vampire cant be in sunlight. This is also why the story is based in Forks Washington. It gets the most rain fall in the US. The whole glittering thing in the movie was Ridiculous! It was beyond how she describes it!
Supposedly, they are like marble and they glitter the way marble would in the sunlight.
