I've never had Carol Singers come to my door. And I don't think I would give them money if they did. I thought that was a volunteer thing. Do you actually tip 'em?

- Used to get them a lot - kids just begging for money really. They would knock and sing (and I use that word lightly) one line of something like -" We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and then hold their hands out - expecting to get some cash. Cheeky buggers! When I asked who they were collecting for - it was an incoherent mumble, so like Mrs A above, sent then on their way empty handed! Don't get it so much now I hope, but the nerve of them. Will always give to worthwhile causes but object to cheeky kids knocking. Thanks Nunya +5
