I have two awesome pups, but the younger one (a year old) still has accidents and doesn't really respond to triaining. Is it possible that she has a learning disability or a bladder problem?

Some dogs just never really get the hang of it while some catch on right away. I suggest you use a crate or kennel to train her. It is the best way to get an unpotty trained dog to understand what it is you want of her. Only let her out to potty and for playing an eating. Don't let her have the run of the house until she understands not to go inside. You'll both be happier in the end.

Yep, I am in full agreement with idntnoevythng. It seems horribly cruel to do...but...in the long run will make you a happier dog owner and thus improve your relationship forever. Purchase a dog crate and lock the dog in it while at work. Come home and let dog out and immediately take dog outside. Put dog back in crate until bed time...let outside. Put dog in crate during night, in morning...let outside. Continue this for at least a week and the dog will associate outside with potty. If you can get through one week of feeling like a horrible monster for caging your dogs...you will live the next 10+ enjoying his/her company and will stop yelling, scolding, and being angry with him/her. Be well.

I struggled with my pup for months before buying a crate. it was like a revelation. He became dry almost immediately. We now use it to confine him when we're eating, it was one of his favourite times to pee, when no one was paying him attention. He also stays in it when we go out shopping and at night. He has toys in there and water. If we leave the gate open now he will choose to go in and acts like he enjoys his own space.

Or the training is lacking. And by that I mean that your training doesn't suit THIS dog.

Petco has pet training classes. I've seen the show the dog wisper and he say that dogs are king of like children in a way like a 2 year old know when to push your buttons and how far he will get away with what he wants,. I belive that you have to show puppies who is the boss with out hurting him you have to give a treat when he goes on the news papper if he goes on accitent inside you have too be very, very, very paient about it. It is very frustrating I know my parents had a lot of pet stores growing up. I was praticly raised in a zoo. I taught my birds how to communicate with me and too talk. Aniamls are like children or babys they need direction and guideance and to feel loved and protected but they need to know who the parents are the dogs dont need too walk the owners when you take them out side if they pull you they think they are in charge of you you have to command for them to listen or obey your orders.There are pet books too out there.
