  • Even if the city completely sinks and/or the ocean rises and destroys it, there is too much documentation of the cities existance for it to become a myth.

  • Probably yes, eventually. But for it to completely sink and for the physical city to not be remembered by any living person is perhaps 2000 years away.
  • It sank under the North Atlantic Ocean at around 1600 B.C. due to some natural disasters .But that’s not all; Atlantis had a (supposing) hidden secret. Some say that it is a myth but others say it is the only TRUTH about Atlantis. It was believed that moments before the disappearance a common girl of an unknown was believed to have found a sacred stone (green in color) believed now to be closely described as called the Jade Stone. Only this one was very different from moderate and updated Jade stone. its was almost its color only it was believed to have a color on it out of this world, no human eye has ever seen. Somehow when she touched it for the second time “For the second day the sun may open the clouds, the clouds again” the clouds opened and the city was destroyed by an object of which was as smooth and shapely as the sunrise. Why they did it? Why not?
  • um... it is sinking like you said so probably but this time someone's there to record it somewhere (book, movie, etc.) but i don't think that there will be myths about it in a thousand years if the evidence gets lost.
  • If Paul Harvey News is correct, Iran may sink too--and good riddance! (18 inches a year, he said, because they pump out so much irrigation water.)
  • No because it happens in our life time and will be remembered unless a calamity over takes all of mankind the way it did between 12,000 and 15,000 years BC which is the time frame of Atlantis, I sometimes think Plato got the Atlantians confused with the Minoans and what happened to them at Santorini and all and Atlantis did not disappear, If your in the America's your in it ... If You Melt the Polar Ice cap what you have is a Continent that sit in the REAL OCEAN ... Of course if it was hit by the fragments of a comet it would be a different story ... especially since Canada and parts of the U.S.A WAS a Large Fresh water Ocean about 18,000 years ago ... ~Nemo~
