In a regular pentagon, how many lines are needed to connect each corner with every other corner?

    Side one has to connect to the other four
    Side two has to connect to all but is already connected to one so that adds three. The next (third) side has to connect to all but the first two which they've already been connected to them. that means you have to add those to the first ones and come up with 4+3+2=9.
    Side four has to connect to side five only as the others have already been connected to it so add one more.
    4+3+2+1=10
