You're right. We've allowed our kids to be so "sexed up" by media of all types, they're constantly bombarded with the wrong messages. Then peer presure kicks in & parents have no shot to reverse the course.

Yeah, it's alright to be a virgin, even at 25.
-
Maybe they'll draw the line around 9....That's appropriate

Well - the truth be known I'm not too concerned what people did ask, are asking, and will be asking - everyone is free to let their minds roam where ever they wish which may say more about their thought process than what may or may not be happening. As to the question I for one have no trouble with any one being a virgin at any age and that is all the thought I will give to it. +5

there are lots of girls in my area having babies at 13/14 idk why

We are simply going back to the way it was for millions of years before modern times. In every single culture throughout the world before about 100 years ago a women was supposed to get married soon after she was of an age to be fertile. The modern era is an aberration. This is nature fighting back against the culture of birth control. Coming next; competition between young women to see who can be the first to get PG.

Why does it matter. I lost my virginity as a teenager and I took my second wife's cherry when she was 24. It's about personal beliefs, maturity, and responsibility. It doesn't matter when you do it, just think it out and make sure it's the right person.

Yeah. The Leave It To Beaver days are apparently over. Uh... Actually, I don't even think familys were so much like The Leave It To Beaver Clan even back then. And, I know for damn sure no family was like The Brady Bunch in the 70's... You have a point but I also think you're exaggerating a bit.

People stopped asking if it is OK to not be a virgin if you were not married. There's where it wrong! We lose one morel after another.

so what? i lost mine at 12 :/ what's wrong with that?

The number goes down with each year. That's because kids try to do what the older kids are doing so when 18 year olds do something - 17 year olds want to do it too and when 17 year olds do it - 16 year olds want to do it too, etc. because the age seems close and this seems alright with them. I don't know what will be the lowest number but I can say it would reach the age of 5 (I know a family where a kid 5 years old was explained by his parents what is sex, what is safe sex, what is virginity, what is pregnancy, etc.) Who knows, maybe one day that question will turn into "Is it okay to be born a virgin?" ;)

Well, think about it... back 100 or so years ago when we were a "good" and "moral" society, girls were married off and having sex at 12. Now, in our extremely immoral, sinful and disgusting society, the average age of loss of virginity is about 16. I think we're doing alright.

It just depends on maturity. can any teenager completly take care of a kid on their own? possible but incredibly diffucult, specially with no family or support from father. I believe in if you can handle the consequences of having sex youre ready. I lost mine at 16, i wish i wouldnt have lost it that young. I got pregnant 3rd time (condom broke) but i definitly wasnt ready for a kid. seeing as my family would disown me and the father had money issues at the time, lets just add a kid. And we were still in school.

not so long ago a young woman would have been considered a spinster if she wasn't married by 18, and many married much earlier. only in the last century or so have we started trying to keep our young people in their cribs as long as possible.
