Find out if you can take the class credit/no credit.

I would talk to my lecturers - find out what the marking criteria are, and the specific ways I fell short of them. You may have worked hard, but did you work smart? For example, you can write 30 pages, but if you have not met the marking criteria, then you will not pass.

You should really get to know your teacher and ask him/her to help you when ever you feel the least bit unsure about something always include your teacher no matter what. Some extra advice, go to your teacher and ask him/her to go over you test with you so you can better understand your subject. no matter how busy your teacher is their first priority is their students success!

Relax or you're going to have a stroke. You're not going to get kicked out because of one bad grade. Why don't you talk to your Professor about the exam, where you went wrong and what you might do to improve. This will at least show him/her that you cared enough to pursue it.

Hey Terrig! Hi there! Sorry to hear your exam went so badly for you. Yep, unfortunately, I remember those days of not doing so well, at times. That can be so very ~frustrating~... You've gotten good advice from the other 4 answers I've read, so I'll not bother to add much more, except to say 'Chin up' my friend, many other exams will go amazingly well in your future, as you continue to study hard and wisely. Ah, just a thought, but if that exam wasn't the final for this course, you might ask your prof. if you might do some kind of 'make up assignment' to help boost your marks. Some profs. are open to this, when they see a student so willing to learn and succeed. Wish you well, friend! :)
