I would try jello or something soft and cold. Beer works too.

suck on an ice cube or gargle with cold water. Avoid sharp hard crunchy food, if it scrapes it will not only hurt but make more damage in your mouth. Also avoid very spicy and sour food, this can also delay the healing. salty food is ok, help keep your mouth clean, but will hurt quite a bit if the burn is open.
