  • hope, i guess. but yeah it is bad.
  • I'm pleased to say I've never been in that situation - but love isn't a choice, it's a compulsion.
  • Often times I guess it's what I call the "Martyr effect", the more one suffers, the more worthy they are of their loved one's praise, which is actually in reality the complete opposite and we subjugate ourselves only to find that it opens us up to more pain and ridicule and rejection (which only makes one more befitting of the punishment rendered). It would seem some people find this horrible self-punishment attonement for their unworthiness of one's desired love. I guess for many this would be better than being alone.
  • Maybe because that type of torture is familiar and oddly comforting??? Sometimes, if we had (for example) parents that were cold or unloving...we could unintentionally seek out partners that are unemotional or unloving.
  • Maybe because hope springs eternal in the human heart. Doesn't mean we're smart, only delusional. Been there. It took me a long to figure out love does not always overcome all. Some times the other person is just not worth the effort. Or we are fools who don't know when to say it's over. Either way it's over when it's over.
  • Because you're not a light switch, i.e., you can't just turn your feeling on and off. It will take some time, but things WILL get better.
  • That is love, love can make you high. . . it's like a brand new car, it will take you where ever whenever you want to go but be a little cautious with you move. . once you get lured with the speed or to what ever pleasure that it can give you, it will smash you to the wall and will leave you dead. . . Take control of the things that you can control like a man standing in front of 110 piece of orchestra, to to every seconds that he move his hand, his fingers. . everyone follows. . . btw, thanks hyrum! . . :)
  • Sometimes it's really hard to just stop loving someone. When you truly love you can turn on and off your feelings. It takes time but trust me this too shall pass. Occupy your time and keep busy before you know it you will handle the situation alot better.
  • Sometimes, our circumstances force us to HOPE. And unrequited, unreciprocated love can be very painful.
  • Because once i love someone i love them it doesnt shut off like the fawcett.
  • Because we don't control our feelings. They come naturally, we can't help who we love or who we don't love. It just happens. +5
