I have a 2 year old Dell Vostro 200 desktop PC with 1 Gig of dual channel DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz-2DIMMS. Do I need to replace the existing RAM to upgrade or can I add to what I have? I'd like to get at least 3 GB total.

Add. DDR2 is still the most popular and really isn't all that old. Given that, there's a chance your MOBO may not support DDR3 or use it to its capacity. Plus, it's cheaper.
