Our attorney who specializes in HOA law has told us that all board members have a duty to be as "transparent" as possible to their association. Meaning, all decisions and discussions leading up to it should be documented and all homeowners should be kept apprised of developments as they occur. We always distribute copies of our Board Meeting minutes. Nothing should be kept from you, unless it concerns certain legal matters. Your association is representing your interests and you should be kept informed of everything going on. Check your bylaws.
