    Here's my new mentality:
I just think you're all assholes. That way, if someone is rude or insulting, I won't be surprised or disappointed. Good strategy huh? You can steal it if you want.

The answer lies in *how* they disagree with me.

If it's a name calling, gene pool attacking, vituperative statement made to me to represent their "disagreement" then they might be considered to be making a personal attack.

If it's a calm "I think you are wrong and I'm right", I see it as a difference of opinion and will even stick around to see if I can learn a thing or three.

No I don't take it personal at all..we are only human and it good to have differences in opinions..it makes the world go round :D
I am happy to debate anything..unless the person becomes abusive..then I will *switch off*..a debate does you good I think :D
Happy Monday sweet lady (((Hugs))) :D

If it's constructive and polite I have no problem with it. I've had a coupdle of comments I could thave taken issue with but only one real !@#$%^&!

I have also had a couple of frustrating one where people are prisoners of their own prejudices and simplyu can't see/hear contemplate any others opinions that doens't fit into the narrow frame of their current thinking. This is normal but, for me, more frustrating than the rude people.

Disagreements are fine; I have no problem with them at all.

The problem seems to be that certain ABers believe in "killing the messenger," just because the message is not to their liking.

That's a wrong attitude to have, IMHO, and displays the ABer's lack of maturity and a total disregard for the social graces.

Attack my views? Sure! Attack me, personally? Bad form!

    Happy Monday, Rosie!

I love it when people disagree with me and get angry about it....but even if they don't get angry I love it.

Disagreements are what makes horses races....I'm all for them.

I think when most people disagree they are just disagreeing with what you say and not you as a person, so I take it as a difference of opinion.

I don't take it personally unless rude or abusive. In that case, the "unsubscribe" button works very well. +3

Just a difference of opinion, unless they are being personally insulting.

It depends on how reasonable they are repling...if they are all uppity and full of attitude I get a little ruffled under the feathers but I generally welcome a differnet percpection on things

I have quite often suggested to people who have commented in opposition to an opinion that I have expressed that we just agree to disagree. What a boring world it would be if we all thought the same as each other.

Difference's of opinions are fine, and welcomed. You learn more when everyone does not share the same opinion. +5

It depends on how they do it. If they just disagree with my opinion, that's fine. Each to their own. If they get nasty and make personal comments or attacks, then I don't care for it.
