I prefer puzzle and strategy games usually on King.com but I don't ever play for money. Recently though, I quite like hidden object or escape the room types - just google for them, and there are loads - but I always use Site Advisor and never use the ones which ask you to download something first. There are plenty of good free online games to be had, without compromising your computer's security.
