Compared with the density of a platinum ring, the density of a bar of platinum is A. less. B. the same. or C. greater......I was thinking it was C. because wouldn't the bar of platinum weigh more than a ring...or am I not understanding the concept.

    No. The answer is (B) The same. The question was about density, not mass. Density is mass per unit of volume. Assuming the ring is pure Platinum, it will have exactly the same density as the bar of pure Platinum. +3
