Yes. The women of the opposing side are free and clear to be taken and used..... and by used I mean raped and then forced to marry their rapists.
    .
    Judges 21:10-24, and Deuteronomy 22:28-29

    There have been rules of war 'in the name of god';
The theory 'WHY' one should fight is in Hindu-Geeta
& the ptactical 'HOW' one should slaughter the enemy
    is in Muslim Koran!
    *
Both contain a lot of unnecessary stuff, but comparatively, Quran has more BS than Geeta,
and almost everything in the Bible-Torah
    is pure, unadulterated BS!
    *
Bible's story of how Joshua won the 'siege of Jericho' (by hiring prostitutes as spies, multiple perambulation & shouting together) is utterly ridiculous, --except for espionage and prostitutes!

God ordered the wandering Jews to murder women, children, and even trees. So no.

Yes. War shall only be engaged if it is necessary for proper reasons. Such as freeing innocent people or establishing justice and peace. People think war is murder. Murder is the killing of innocent people. Taking lives of corrupt persons to save lives of the innocent is not. We should only engage in war if it is absolutely necessary for the good of humanity. I think the US has engaged in enough murderous wars to loose the title "under God".

Very few rules. No hitting below the belt. No biting and pulling hair.

"Thou Shalt Not Murder". Don't kill anyone who isn't fighting. (non combatants)

    AAA the God of love,

More where this came from :)

GE 4:2-8 God's arbitrary preference of Abel's offering to that of Cain's provokes Cain to commit the first biblically recorded murder and kill his brother Abel.

EX 12:29 The Lord kills all the first-born in the land of Egypt.
EX 21:20-21 With the Lord's approval, a slave may be beaten to death with no punishment for the perpetrator as long as the slave doesn't die too quickly.
NU 21:6 Fiery serpents, sent by the Lord, kill many Israelites.

Oh yes, he told Moses to "kill women, men and children, and destroy every city..."
    (Deuteronomy 2:31-36)
