  Greetings the issue that im about to talk about has been bothering me for sometime and i thought it would be best if i can get advice from people.I have strict parents and i think this has affected my social life negatively.The only time i could actually spend time with my friends was at school,and i was at a boarding school in high school.During the holidays my parents would never allow us to go for friends birthday parties,movies and just generally spending time with them as they believed having a social life was not important.we rarely used to have friends over because me and my siblings would always be afraid of bringing our friends home because of the fear of what our parents would say and do.The only time i had friendships that existed was when i was in school,the moment i went home for holidays my friendships were non existant.I am currently in University but im home on holiday and my parents have given me a curfew which is at 18:00 hrs.My parents barely let me have freedom.I now look at my life and ive realised that i barely have any friends.No one calls my phone to ask to do anything with me.My social life especially when im home is non existant.And ive stayed with not having really close friends for a very long time.What advice would you give me as i need to have a social life and friends with whom i can spend time with?

  I have a trip to Paris planned with my parents, girlfriend and her daughter (9yo). Recently we found out that my father has prostate cancer and will need to undergo radiation treatment. He wont be able to come. Should the rest of us still go? My father has my brother and sister who will be able to support him while we are gone. I am going to feel bad if we go without him but also if we don't go at all. My girlfriend, her daughter, and my mother are really looking forward to the trip and still want to go. Should we not go? My sister is giving my mom a hard time about it. The trip is in a month. Thoughts?

  Sticky Situation I want my eyebrows tattooed and a friend of mine does this for a living. Problem is I do not want to use her, I have seen some of the brows she did and I know I won't be satisfied. Without hurting her feelings, how do I get my brows done at another person. She would obviously see me after it is done, what do I do ?

  My girlfriend and I were happy together had a dog lived together and talked of marriage. My friend would always come over and hang with me, after a while him coming over turned into a everyday thing. Long story short, situations happend like me and my buddy hanging in the garage and him saying goodbye and then an hr later I go upstairs and he's sleeping on the floor next to the couch we're my girlfriend is sleeping. Other things like they had exchanged phone numbers without me knowing. I asked them both if anything was goin on I felt like an idiot when they both said no. Time passed then more stuff like I pulled into the grocery mart parking lot and there sitting there talking . I ended up asking my girlfriend and my friend a ton of times if what I was feeling like they were hooking up was real No no no your insane and insecure. Ok my girlfriend ended up leaving me because of all this she told me that they never talked at all. We're broken up now and my friend still comes around but he dosnt seem like a real friend he says I would never do that, and then bragged to me the other day about how he hooked up with a chick who has a boyfriend.

  2 days ago I met Gril that her friend has a crush on me. I walked with her to that.girl and she didnt look any way sympatied about me she just facepalmed and get a bit shy when she saw me.Next day she asked me about my name I decided to tell it. When i came back from school I looked on facebook and they in fact invited me. Today I decided to ask for real whats going on she still says that her friend has crush on me stuff. But still the girl that she was talking about doesnt show any kind of feeling to me.They are propobly 1 year younger than me (Im 17) .   So, an awesome woman and I have had this relationship/ friendship thing going on for about three years now. Its been wonderful, but rather confusing. At first, we had bad timing around one another (as far as trying to date goes) as time went on, we found that we shared many tender moments. Everything we had done together was non sexual and rather blissful. Almost picturesque romance style. Unfortunately, she hit some bad times and things got hectic for us both. Eventually, we had to move away from one another (such is the way of military life) As well, we left on Rocky terms. After rekindling a friendship, we kept in touch for quite a while.   I had know this man 38 years ago, I thought of he and the people we knew throughout the years. We lived in the same state but not the city. I decided to look him up again on Facebook and this time I went inside his page to see if this was him , I sent him a message of familiarity, pertaining to things only he would know if this was the correct person.   Do some have a suffocating fury they cannot overcome due to neglect of early emotional development and end up hurting others without knowledge of how to curb impulses to keep the bristling questionmarks checked thus ending up lashing out to get a quick emotional fix of which there is none and succumb to the minds poverty of despair at all?

  My father was having girls over for the night because he recently was divorced so he wanted to get me out of the house he bribed me with his nice truck and 60 dollars to leave and go do something i crashed his truck into a fence and then got out of the truck called him and he came and pulled me out with his big rig truck we got into a fight at the house and his retaliation was calling the cops on me for a hit and run now i have court over it who is at fault me or him? His truck his insurance and i was under his insurance at the time
