No one can know for sure where we w ill go with evolution next. I guess we will just have to wait and see. +5

Mankind is unlikely to evolve much from now on as he has too much control over his own environment. It’s extremely likely that mankind as a species will die out within the next 10 million years or so. Very possibly much sooner than that.

Atheism evolved into theism. Religion had to start somewhere.

Mankind will not evolve much in the future. We refuse to allow ourselves to evolve. We save the weaker members of our species (which I'm not saying is wrong) so the defective genes don't die out. We also don't accept anything different. When people have noticeable mutations we either hide them or give them surgery to make them seem normal. Mankind will however, evolve to an extent. Apparently there will be two classes of human, the higher class will be beautiful and intelligent, while the underclass will be stupid and ugly. The reason for this is that intelligent will breed together, and since intelligence is a somewhat attractive quality they will also breed with physically attractive people. This will mean their children are attractive and intelligent. There is also the fact that races are not divided as much as they once were, which has already resulted in some people having extremely diverse heritage. They will take all of the best genes from each of the races and be even more beautiful. The less intelligent and less attractive people will also breed together. So their children, like them will be both ugly and stupid. This will eventually result in a visible division between the classes. This may take centuries, however, so we are unlikely to see it so obviously within our lifetime. Although there already exist signs that this will happen.

this question should be in the evolution category, no ? . anyway, even today humanity's evolving. the average man is different from the average 2k years ago in many ways. . we will continue to evolve to strengthen the characteristics that have become more vital to our survival (social abilities, creativity, intelligence, perhaps aesthetics as well), and will continue to lose that which is just no longer relevant (strength, hair, and - unfortunately - resilience against illnesses).

No reason for there to be. We'll continue to evolve, but with little selective pressure for any particular traits and/or mutations, we won't change much. Look at some of the other animals that have done really well in their niches - like crocodiles. They're good at what they do - so good that there is little pressure to change. As such, your basic crocodile has not changed for many millions of years...

Personally, I think it would be neat if we artificially selected ourselves to grow webbing between our toes so that swimming would be more fun. In reality, I don't think we will be headed anywhere using natural selection. Evolution works to help organisms adapt to their surroundings, while we humans have changed our surroundings to suit ourselves.
