  • Apparently it has the bluest skies you've ever seen....
  • I have lived there and found it very beautiful especially with Mt. Rainier in the background of the skyscrapers. It tends to rain allot in the late fall to early spring. It is very green and there is many trees because of the rain.Summer is great and there is plenty to do in the summer.
  • My brother lived there and according to him it's a wonderful place to live.
  • The summers are fantastic. Amazing weather and clear skies. However, be prepared for 9 months of scattered showers and overcast skies. If you don't mind 30 different lingos and terms for rain, it might just be the right place for you.
  • I'm born and bred here in Seattle and it's a beautiful place to live... but you should be aware of something alot of visitors are saying called "The Seattle Freeze". Basically, people say that native Seattleites aren't always so friendly to out of towners, but other people say differently. You can ALWAYS find a great cup of coffee here, and a good place to chill. For the most part, people won't bother you, but you always have one or two no matter where you go. Are you visiting, or moving, or just interested? There's always things to do here, for pretty much any scene. TONS of great hiking and biking trails and mountains, and REI has their own bike trail and climbing wall (IDK if that's standard or not...). I once read we are one of the most fit cities in America. Capitol Hill is a great place to hang out. Lots of great shops and things to see. There's also a brand new Sculpture Park right here in downtown. Good club scene, especially in Pioneer Square. It's the place to go if you want to go out on a weekend and drink with your friends. Many people come here and love it. I personally love this place. That is, if you can get past the passive-agreesiveness of Seattle.
  • The summers are great, from july to mid september the temps usaully around 75 degrees. We got a taste of summer this last wednesday, I was driving across the I-90 floating bridge into seattle, I saw Mt. Rainier to the south, and Mt. Baker and glacier peak to the north. Lake washington glimmered in the sun and I could smell the salt of puget sound.
  • Its okay Mild winters descent summer...expensive homes prices. Busy gridlock.
  • As a Lifer... (Or a guy who is lived in Western WA all his life) The place is good but too many damn people... Too many bad drivers locally & Nationally... The winters can be cold & wet... Occasionally Ice & Snow storms... Spring is good because the flowers & plants bloom (EXCEPT HAY FEVER :-( ) Summer is hot & polluted due to the traffic, & masses of people.... Fall is cold & wet but the leaves falling from the trees & changing color can be really cool... Washingtron is a great place to live but you gotta know where to live, get a job & take care of yourself... Seattle & South WA is expensive but you got alot of Technology companies there... Everett & North WA is poorer but we have alot more space... TRAFFIC IS BAD EVERYWHERE! PLEASE dont move here! Fix your problems in your home states Thank you!
  • I love it. Moderate climate, though it tends to be overcast quite a bit. But when the sun does come out, it's amazing! People tend to be more curtious and friendly than most parts of the county that I've been to. As far as the rain everyone talks about, it's not generally a hard rain, but more of a misting that is around for about 5 months of the year. Great places to eat. Good art EVERYWHERE. Traffic is REALLY bad though (we have only four freeways and those are divided by a huge lake. Taxes are really bad in Seattle. Our sales tax inside of Seattle is pretty bad, but we have no income tax. We have been gowing through a lot of growing pains for several years as far as infrastructure. It tends toward the liberal/progressive side as opposed to the rest of Washington that leans toward the conservative. Oh, and we have a troll that live under the Fremont Bridge.
  • Well...there are only two seasons here, it's not four like everywhere else. There is Fwinter & Summer. Summer last two months, Fwinter is the rest of the year and consists of rain that resembles a drunk man peeing (unpredictable, and comes in spurts) Summer is perfect though. Not too hot, not too cold. I wouldn't have it any other way.
  • Is there a state income tax? Also, is there a city wage tax?
  • I'll admit. The housing prices are INSANE here. But I wouldn't leave for anything. This city is awesome for music and art in any form in so many ways. I find new awesome stuff in this city everyday and I've been living here my whole life.
