Rosewood Middle School in North Carolina allowed students to pay $20 to get 10 extra grade points on two tests as a fundraiser - made more than selling candy last year. This sound like a good idea?

Wrong. Grades should be earned by academic performance, not by purchase. +3

Sounds like a good way for the school to circumvent the SATs scores.

I'll do you one BETTER. How about we all just PAY the schools to stop these blasted "projects" that are assigned to the children?!?! (We all KNOW that MOST of the children don't do the work anyway!!!!!)

    2nd Answer:

How is paying $20 helping a student to learn anything?

Only one to really profit from this idea is the school.

I have tried to think of a proper name for this transaction.

The only name that seems to fit is SLEEZY.

Why not forward this to Obama and The White House?

Maybe this idea can somehow be applied to help our ailing economy.

I think it's a terrible idea. What's the difference between paying for 10 points and later paying for the answers to an exam someone took two periods before you? It undermines academics and teaches people that money is the answer to all problems.
