Usually old television programmes, such as "Goodnight Sweetheart", "Secret Army", "Heartbeat". Since the economic downturn decent programmes have been highjacked by ghastly reality shows such as x-factor, Britain's got talent, I'm a celebrity - get me out of here, and so on. These wretched things are not only unwatchable but dominate prime time television. Bring back proper programmes! There is now nothing worth watching on Saturday and Sunday night.

Fun: Lipstick Jungle; Desperate Housewives; Californication, The OC and Everwood(fun and light). Medium: True life story of psychic, Alison Dubois. Judge Judy, Judge Mathis. Many others.

From US tv they would be Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show, Family Guy, American Dad, The A Team, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Sopranos, The Muppet Show and Nurse Jackie. From UK tv they would be The Onedin Line, Secret Army, Colditz, UK tv is very good at doing those period dramas; Are You Being Served, Some Mothers Do Ave Em, Dads Army, Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, The Benny Hill Show, The Office.
