I have no idea, and can't find any polls on the subjects. I can however start a running AB poll, and now hereby encourage others to voice in. As a functional atheist, I for on have no preference with regard to my burial method. I'll be dead, and won't have an opportunity to care. I strongly believe furthermore that funerals are for the living, not the dead. They help those whose lives were touched by the person that passed to come to terms with the passing, and to deliver them a sense of closure and inner peace. For this reason, I will let my loved ones choose the method and ritual surrounding my burial. Whatever helps make the process easiest for them, and with as little an emotional or financial impact as possible is just fine by me.
