Toyota is a Japanese car company that also owns the car company Lexus. Toyota has been producing the Sequoia since 2001. The Sequoia is a truck-based, eight-passenger sport utility vehicle.
Sequoia Platinum
Toyota usually releases Lexus-badged twins of its vehicles in production. There are no plans for a Sequoia-based Lexus, so the company has come up with the Sequoia Platinum.
Features
The Sequoia Platinum features 20-inch alloy wheels as opposed to 18 inches on the standard model. The SUV also features heated or cooled seats and comes with a navigation system.
Options
The Sequoia Platinum is the high-end version that comes standard with many bells and whistles, and you have the option for even more. A rear DVD player is an option, as well as an option for adaptive cruise control.
Considerations
Although the standard Sequoia is an eight-passenger SUV, the platinum edition can only seat seven. This is due to the fact that the Sequoia Platinum features a second row of captain-style seats.
Fun Fact
Toyota offers the Sequoia Platinum for those buyers looking for a luxury SUV. It expects about 10 percent of its buyers to purchase one.
