    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Thirty hours of in-car training is required to pass driver's ed, along with a classroom course. Some states offer an online class to replace the classroom portion of driver's ed. The classes are spread out over several weeks.

Normally it takes 30 hours (that’s the class part). But some schools do offer an online class, and that’s much faster and more convenient. Also the DMV requires you to take a 6 hour driving course. You would need this in order to take your driving test at the DMV.
