Thirty hours of in-car training is required to pass driver's ed, along with a classroom course. Some states offer an online class to replace the classroom portion of driver's ed. The classes are spread out over several weeks.Source:
Normally it takes 30 hours (that’s the class part). But some schools do offer an online class, and that’s much faster and more convenient.Also the DMV requires you to take a 6 hour driving course. You would need this in order to take your driving test at the DMV.
