The True Jehovah is a Powerful Spirit, a just, loving and wise Father, before who all bow in trust and humble supplication. It would require abject adversity and lamentable circumstance for Jehovah to be reduced to making demands of subservience and worship an unruly and unrepentant mob best left to their own devices and democratically elected demagogues. Surmising Jehovah could increase his dominion and regain his Monopoly if he were so inclined, satan promised Jesus dominion over the earth and its people if Jesus would just extend a gratuity of affiliation to him. The commandment "you shall have no other God before me" can be more accurately translated to mean something like "You should have no other gods before my face," meaning that a follower must worship Nothing else- all that is idolatry.
