What does this have to do with Barack Obama? The mistake was that his enemies were still his enemies, so they still didn't like him. Alienating his friends started to make them less like friends, and slightly like enemies. So when it came to reviews of employies, the enemies gave bad reviews, and his friends didn't give good enough reviews, and if the company had to layoff employies, then you father was probably on the list. It's just a guess, though, i don't know the situation.
His big mistake was not being named Barrack Obama.
It sounds as if your daddy developed something most Republicans lack: A Conscience.
