  • i don't think so
  • No, but I remember seeing something like a huge machete on the end of a 7-foot pole on "The Deadliest Warrior". Can't remember for the life of me what it was called, but it was a kickass weapon!
  • I think the ancient samurai used my friends mother-in-law! She looks and acts the part.
  • They did have numerous bladed pole arms that came close to the European style of battle axe, but not quite the same. Their main weapons were bow & arrow and several different length swords.
  • I think they used something similar called a Bisento which looks like an axe on a long pole. I believe it was used for fighting enemies mounted on horseback.
  • The closest thing I can think of would be a naginata. :/ They also did use these weird huge poles with a slab of metal on the end, kinda like some sorta "thrusting hammer" but I forget the name. I think it was for cavalry, but don't quote me.
