Oh God knew what he was doing when he gave me only one daughter, now 23.
She got to be the only child with me and the big sister to 3 brothers with her dad in his 2nd marriage. So she had the best of both worlds.
From the parent's perspective:
Pro's.. just one child to focus on, less chaos, no fighting, less expensive than raising more
Cons.. ?
From the kids perspective:
Pro's... more parental attention, no competition, a bit of spoiling (not spoiled rotten)
Cons... don't have siblings to play with & to share their life with
The "pro": You only have ONE child to worry about and whenever something is wrong, you KNOW who did it!
The "con": They lack a sibling to learn "sharing" and "sibling rivalry" with
Do those who survive in spite of their parents have more to contribute than those who survive because of their parents? Why?
