Help answer this question below.
It is easy to act STEREOTYPICALLY back or white by playing up and exaggerating stereotypes.
Saying that someone acts black or white, stereotypically or not, is stereotyping blacks or whites yourself (the generic "you") because there is no generic "acting black/white."
When you act Black/white, you're not actually acting a certain race, you're acting like people from a specific region/neighborhood. If I acted like Obama, would you say I'm acting black or white?
No?
Dr. D was educated in Switzerland and speaks Parisian French. He's a perfect gentleman. My mother taught all 6 of us to speak clearly. My father sang arias each Sunday on the radio when I was a little girl. All of us had some college or has a college degree. No one knows the color of our skin per phone. My friends in some ghetto areas in NYC speak ghetto. Except two 15 yr old boys who spoke so eloquently. I come from an upper middle-class family, had the finer things in life, was exposed to Opera, classical music, plays, etc.. My experience is..if your social back ground of refineness, you act accordingly. Some speak and act the same because they don't want to be what is expected of them just because of the color of their skin. I've met many people who are low-life and act that way and they come in all colors. People are people. Let it be. Wasawoo is a child of the Universe..and the world is my neighborhood.
Yu act as yu people juss got steriotypical nd decided since more black ppl act this way then they will be called as actin black nd since more white ppl act that way they will be called as actin white
