I honestly don't care since its non of my business.
Who wouldn't mind being..."kept"
None --> of my business
So what? If you two love each other, as far as I’m concerned, it shouldn’t be ANYONE else’s business.
My first thought is that he is looking either for a sugar-daddy or a father-figure. My second thought is that the "dad" is setting himself up for heartbreak. But if none of those is true, then I think they're both great.
why should it be an issue, if they're happy?
Whatever works for them is fine by me.+5
40 is a little old for my taste, but to each his own.
I've been there (except I was 26, he was 39. You would learn many things and he would probably give you the comfort of stability... but you are probably still figuring things out for yourself. My relationship went south after 2 years because I grew apart. I wanted to do things outdoors that he was tired of doing. So I often found myself cheated from those moments.
I'm 40 now in a relationship with someone 8 yrs older than me... we're much more aligned with our social interests.
Good luck to you!
As long as they both have things in common and enjoy each other's company, why not? As a matter of fact, that can make a wonderful combination. Age is relative. Some people in their 40s think like they're in their 20s, and some people in their 20s think like they're 40!
