There shouldn't be. Why? Because if a piece of software speeds up your connection, something else on your computer was slowing it down. How much speed your connection is capable of depends on the connection type, your ISP, your modem, etc. No shower head you can buy will make the water pipes bigger! There is, however, a whole bunch of spam that would love you to believe that their software can speed up your connection. What it will actually do is ram ungodly amounts of popups or other adware down your throat, and probably slow your computer down in the end.
