I've a better idea, give up the notion of worshipping fairy tales entirely.
-
Never. The fact that many do not believe in God would make that impossible.
-
It'd be better if the human race got together and worshiped no god.
-
HAHHAHHAHAHAH! That's funny! : ) No.
-
One school of thought (amongst those who believe in God) is that we already do. Ganesha or Yahweh - It is just that God chose to manifest God's self in different manners to different people in a way that made sense to the different cultures. The problem does not come in the God that is worshiped but in the intolerance in the different way people choose to honor their God. Islam Sunni and Shi'ite, Christian Catholic and Protestant, Jewish Orthodox and Conservative all claim to worship the same God and look at the strife within that one God-worshipping group. IMHO, humans being what they are, I wouldn't matter.
-
no... many people = many different beliefs... not impossible, but difficult
-
Just leave them whatever they are worshiping ,at least we have better understanding of our own religion and we have an opportunity to compare .so it is good to have different religion in the world.
-
No. If America (300+ million people) can't even come together with who they should worship, how are 6+ billion people from all over the world going to come together? Too many different cultures, races, beliefs, etc.
-
The people who already claim to worship the same God now can't quite agree what that God is like. The prognosis of the 35,000 plus denominations of Christianity alone has little chance of ever agreeing. Let alone all the people outside of that. religion is too easy to customize to ever have consensus. It's like asking will we all agree on a favorite color or favorite song.
-
"With God, all things are possible."
-
I think the human race is working on it. This is the reason for all the clashing of the Gods, eventually one will emerge. (You don't have to agree, so don't minus me!)
-
with the right leadership, yes.
-
there is only one god.The different races and cultures just worship their own versions of him.
-
Why would we want to do that?
-
Where's the fun in that?
-
Yes as soon as all but one religion is wiped out.
-
We all do.
-
Nope
-
No, some of us are more rational than that.
-
Nope, even says in the Bible that won't happen.
-
maybe we can worship the earth and stop polluting it so much
-
they will when the antichrist sets up his religion and orders everyone to worship him. but if they do,they will be in for a rude awakening.
-
if a god came out of the sky for all men to see. then yes apart from that unlikley event NO.
-
I think that if we agree to what the gunman said about worshipping the earth and read into the big planet HALF as much as we spend reading into things that can't even be proven real, then it would be a better off place indeed. The Earth is right underneath our feet! It's REAL!... Nature, ftw. <3
-
never, how can you even think about that?
-
very much possible. Over a period of time organized religions will die. They already being rejected by the younger generations. Non organized religions which propagates one God and universal religious existence will come into the picture after may be a war is done over religions by organized religions.
-
They prob already do! People worship themselves every day through their lifestyle and 'me me me' kind of attitute.
-
We all love ourselves too much. What I mean by this is we all want to be in control, in control of our faith, in control of our god, in control of the god of others, in control of what is right and wrong, in control of who goes to heaven and who goes to hell, etc. Believing in One God means letting go of all that, and I don't think many people, let alone all of them, are able to do that.
-
I'd rather see the human race come together and stop worshiping ANY god.
-
You will.. unfortunately it will be the anti-christ.
-
Usually people who ask question like this, by "One God" they mean "My God". So, if you believe in Christian God, would you reject your religion and worship Buddha for example?
-
They might at least recognise one god when that particular god establishes its existence in a consistent way over a long time. While gods remain imaginary there's no way, is there?
-
Like in the McDonald's commercial, "It could happen." But more than likely won't.
-
The world will all see The End. Thats when the whole world will know who really was the true God. All will bow down and worship. This day is true and is coming soon.
-
Highly doubt it. Even in The End I don't think people would come together and worship one god.

If you look at societies throughout history, every one has had some type of religion. The Native Americans, ancient Egyptians, ancient Greeks and Romans, Hebrews, Muslims, Voo Doo, etc. There are a number of things you will find in common with all of them. They have a God or Gods or some higher level being that has power over them, their religion lays the groundwork for the moral structure of their society (i.e. 10 commandments for Christians), it is used to explain things that people don't understand (Hercules took the sun across the sky, God created the earth, etc.) and all religions explain what happens to you when you die. Which one is right? What makes one more right than another? I honestly don't know.
-
We do. He's just called different names...
-
The bible says some will not
-
Depends what you mean. All God's are not the same God. I found this on a blog. http://spiritualsojourners.blogspot.com/2009/11/are-all-gods-same-can-they-all-be-true.html The problem with all God's existing simultaneously is that many of them contradict one another. For example, any monotheistic God will automatically rule out every other God. Therefore, for Allah to exist, Christ cannot exist. Consequently, Allah and Christ cannot exist at the same time and cannot be the same God because they each have different divine attributes, some of which contradict. By definition, two monotheistic Gods cannot be the same God, nor can they coexist together.
