Very interesting question. Although he didn't live very long, Hendrix still made a major impact on the music and is still copied by many great artists today. The Beattle are also very good. But, I believe their success was due to mainly selling to the audience. They sold a "LOT" of records. Why? Because they played to what the people wanted. So to answer you question, I would say Hendrix was better. I wonder what he would be doing now if he had survived.

Hendrix was more of an accomplished guitarist than any of the Beatles and they even admitted as much when they went to see him in concert back in 1967.

Jimi Hedrix is nothing remotely at all like the Beatles. The Beatles were geniuses. Jimi was a genius. It's like comparing Albert Einsein to Bill Gates. Which is better? Who are we to judge.

Hard question. Hendrix has had a greater influence on "rock" music, while the Beatles influenced "pop" music.

I don't think there's a "better". I'm more a Beatles fan, but that doesn't make them better than Hendrix. It's all a matter of taste. Both had a huge impact on popular music.
