  • Install a night light, but I think you'll get over it in time.
  • You are feeding this fear everytime you give into it. I would make myself stay in the dark until it no longer affected me. Billions of people find comfort in darkness, you can too. That's how people become adults and say nonsensical things like I am so afraid of snakes! etc. Fear can be healthy when it is justified but for no reason, it develops into a self inflicted phobia. If you don't want to be a prisoner and victim of the dark, fight it. I am speaking as one who was very afraid of the dark when young and I got over it with this practice.
  • you can buy a clock that has glows and if you cant sleep with the light turn it away from you
  • I felt the exact same way up until I was 19, which also when I got pregnant with my son. It just suddenly went away.
