  • You've never seen or played Soccer?
  • There are absolutely no similarities between American football and European football. American football is football. AMERICAN soccer is soccer. European football is like American soccer
  • I think that the same amount of people are on the field at the same time. They both have balls. They both score goals. They both have backs. They both have to defend their goals because that is how scores are made: by getting the ball into the other team's goal. That's all I can think of at this time.
  • 11 players per side. Object in American is to reach the goal line. Object in soccer is to score a goal. I think it stops there because as we all know you can't use your hands on soccer, the clock doesn't stop, No more than 3 changes of player per team. and many more differences. I wouldn't call it "European" only though. Whether or not Americans agree, it's the most popular sport in the world.
  • is american football like rugby
  • If you mean soccer and football , nothing.

  • Other than the same amount of people on the pitch at one time there is none to my knowledge.
  • American football is more like rugby than soccer. In fact considering apart from punts, the ball is carried in the hands, it shouldn't really be called football at all.
  • American Football is a bit like Rugby, but with added gayness.
  • ALL THE PLAYERS GET TIRED AT THE END OF THE GAME (LOL)
  • American football players get paid more, and American football fans don't risk their lives simply by attending games. You'd think such a heavy contact sport would be less civilized than one where physical contact is (more-or-less) accidental. But European football is the more barbaric of the two.
  • None. European football is a proper sport, American football is not.
