It's said that god made man in his own image. If this is the case that means god has a pretty sick and twisted side to. +4

What makes you think Christianity is against abortion?
-
Just because you're Christian doesn't mean you can't be corrupt. There are so many different sects of Christianity, haven't you ever heard of even one of the many "Christian" cults that perform such terrible things? The world is evil, it's just nature. God may have created us in his image, but that doesn't mean we can't stray from that. Religious belief does not necessarily define a person's other aspects. Hitler could have been Jewish if he wanted to be. (No offense meant there, just the most extreme example i could think of.) Each sect has it's own beliefs, Christianity cannot be used as the term when referring to specific issues.

You actually question that it is possible?

This has all been taken out of context. There is nothing here to suggest that this is a Christian church. I don't know of any Christian that would agree with such a thing. While reading further on this page I found this: . . U.S. branches ‘had no idea’ The Nigerian church is a branch of a Californian church by the same name. But the California church says it lost touch with its Nigerian offshoots several years ago. This is from an elder in the U.S. church. "I had no idea," said church elder Carrie King by phone from Tracy, Calif. "I knew people believed in witchcraft over there but we believe in the power of prayer, not physically harming people."

Yeah asusual the news takes things out of context. No where in the new testament does it say to kill witches.Quit commparing our culture to that of the old testament.Even if they did claim Christ, doesn't mean they serve the true Jesus of the bible.Read Matthew 7:21-23.

1) "Sorcery and even witchcraft beliefs persisted and were discussed as forms of medicine, or as coming from "bad people" whose spirits or souls were diagnosed as the cause of misfortune. There also were special ways in which the outcomes of stressful future activity, long trips, lingering illnesses, family and other problems could be examined. Soothsayers provided both therapy and divinatory foreknowledge in stressful situations. According to an article by the L.A. Times, pastors from the Pentecostal community Mount Zion Lighthouse have been involved in the torturing and killing of children accused of witchcraft. Over the past decade, over 1000 children have been murdered with some being set on fire. Church pastors, in an effort to distinguish from the competition, establish their credentials by accusing children of witchcraft. When repeatedly asked about the matter, the Church has refused to comment." Source and further information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Nigeria#Sorcery_and_Witchcraft 2) Of course you can believe in Jesus, or accept Jesus as your savior or whatever you call it and still do wrong things. Being a priest, a pastor or a monk won't change this either.

Easy...The same way it happened in Salem. Christians saw that certan people did strange things with strange ingrediants...some good things. The Christians didn't understand what they were and what they were doing so, They accused them of being witches and killed'em off. It wasn't just adults that were accused of witchcraft in that town. I'm not surprised its happening again.

To believe ABOUT Jesus Christ is not the same as believing IN Jesus Christ. Believing ABOUT Jesus Christ doesn't mean you have accepted Him and strive to live according to His precepts. You would only believe that he was a man who existed long ago. Believing IN Jesus Christ and accepting Him as Savior should deter one from sinful acts but does not make one "sin proof." Christians stumble and fall the same as non-Christians. The difference is that Christians are already forgiven. Abortion for mere convenience is wrong.

Everyone believes a different version of Jesus Christ.

Many will come bearing his name and say they "know" him but it is not about beleiving in him, its about submitting to his Lordship and serving him with your whole heart. John 10:26-28 (New King James Version) 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.[a] 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
