    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Federal bankruptcy courts assign a trustee to every Chapter 7 petition. The trustee schedules a creditors' meeting within 20 to 40 days and reports back to the court within 10 days. The bankruptcy judge discharges your bankruptcy 60 to 90 days after the creditors' meeting, unless creditors object.
