I am going to be rescuing another bunny- adding a 3rd bunny. I have a male and Female both altered. Should I get a female or a male? What is the best way to bond 3 bunnies when 2 are already bonded?

It's not the easiest thing to do but it's possible. Usually it's easiest if you add another spayed doe but it's best if she is younger than the others in case she turns out to be a bossy kind of lady. By the time she might really be bossy, she will have settled in with the other two. Or if you get an older rabbit that has been with other rabbits so she can teach them to be tolerant and live as a community. It's no different bonding another one. You just go slow and have those 'dates' again, though now you have more bunny to watch. try doing it with more room than just two rabbits would use so they can spread out and one rabbit at a time can meet the new one instead of being forced to be all three together. Have food out, hay is good. Use toys if yours will play.
