  • I think the question as to a fire arm may vary from state to state. I found out the hard way that I could not get a job as a dishwasher in a nursing home. I don't have any hard feelings over it. Regardless of my guilt or innocence, I think it is a just law as I would not want one of my loved ones in a nursing home to be put at risk.
  • What does it say under your restrictions? if it says not to posses any fire arms then you can not own one but if it says nothing about that then you can get a fire arm. In most domestic cases the crown/D.A well put that in their screening against you so make sure you really find out before going ahead with anything.
  • It depends on your state and the conviction -- misdemeanor or felony? Also, if a fire arm was part of your charge and conviction will generally affect your post-conviction rights.
  • You having a personal fire arm is like an alchoholic owning a bar. I see you have learned your lesson.
