  • I guess it's no use for the student copying something into a notebook, and reading a serious newspaper is better than something futile, but you should do your tasks at school. Anyway, I think suspending is very exaggerated and there was no need to do so, just a warning.
  • That is the problem with liberal dominated government education. Just take the time off at least you want have to read the lies Obama put into his book that he didn't even write.
  • the WSJ?? better off reading pravda if looking for truth
  • There must be more to this than just reading the WSJ. One week, 5 days is much too severe for just that. However if it is as you say then I would be protesting this to the absolute highest levels. Assuming you're not in college but in the public school system and this is what you were suspended for I would document my protest (write out why you disagree) and begin with the teacher, work my way up each level of authority all the way to the school board if need be. Don't get mad, present your case in the third person. If you loose you loose but you're going to receive quite an education in the process. You'll find the butterflies in your stomach turning into knots.
  • Seems a bit severe, however, how many times have you failed to follow instructions?? Perhaps your third strike and out?
  • I bet you don't do it again. Oh wait, it's you. Maybe they should just realize you can't read and it doesn't matter.
  • if it was just a one off, you should have gotten a warning. if this is a common occurrence, possibly a detention but the only way i can see this as being "fair" is if this is continually happening and you argued with the teacher, however is still think even then it is slightly harsh
  • did you read the wall street journal at all during your week off?
  • Mmmm hot liberal Barack Obama oppression fantasies now? Not too realistic but it's a good effort. I hardly think you would pass on such an opportunity to fixate on mr president.
  • That's strange, I thought you claimed that you were homeschooled.
  • Depends on how the interaction with the teacher went... what Did you say?
