I have several books that did that to me. In fact I think the whole Joseph Campbell series of books on mythology I count as one. Expensive little suckers!

just two (looser) the boy in that book is a gift! (wringer) only at the end does it change the way of thought.

I can give you two. The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, and The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. Both had a huge impact on my life and outlook. I didn't even realize how big with The Celestine Prophecy until I re-read it about six months later.

It didn't really change my way of thinking, yet it accentuated and affirmed my goals in approaching life ~ ~ Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" and Atticus Finch is a fictional character I can only attempt and hope to emulate. +5
