Well, I think it's very obvious by now that Haleigh is dead. Ronald protected Misty because he thought he loved her and couldn't admit to himself that someone he was in love with could have something to do with the death/abduction of his daughter. When the writing on the wall was too much to ignore, he ditched her and she got scared knowing that he was turning on her too just like everyone else. She is lying and hiding the truth. She is the whole key to this. I don't know if she killed Haleigh (I doubt it) but I am sure that the fate of Haleigh depended on Misty's negligence.
