  • Give him something that doesn't cost anything. I would be perfectly happy with a really good backrub for my birthday...as a matter of fact it's usually what I ask for. You might want to take advantage of his natural talents. Is he a musician? Have him write you a song. Artist? Have him paint you a picture. Use your imagination. It's the thought and sentiment that make for a memorable gift...not the amount spent.
  • A romantic night in by candle light. If he can cook ask him to make you your favorite meal, assuming it's not lobster or caviar. A love letter with a poem written by him, you can cherish that forever. My honey wrote me a poem for our one month anniversary and I still have it 15 years later, it was the gift I remember most fondly. Plan a romantic walk and picnic in a beautiful park (if you are somewhere nice) It's freezing where I am. If he has artistic skill ask him to draw a picture of you two.
