What people. What horror movie.
-
Yes, they do. Their acting is horrible!!
-
If your talking about the big tit blondes who run up the stairs when they are right beside the front door then yes..... :)
-
Most of the people in horror movies do not deserve to die, that's what makes it more horrible.
-
If its part of the plot to die :)

Some of the worst horror movies make the mistake of making the charaters way too annoying (snobby, whiney, rude, selfish, etc.). The thought is to root for their death, but what happens is the viewer is uncomfortable up until that point or doesn't care whether the person lives or dies.

Would you watch it if the deranged person chasing the victim with a butcher knife or chain saw cornered them and then slowly eerily walked up to them, dropped the weapon and gave them the dreaded granny (I had Kim Chee for lunch)kiss? I doubt it would get the same shock factor there.

Totally. They defy all common sense. Everyone's lek "No! DOn't go in There" and anyone with half a brain wouldn't follow the serial killer or explore a cold dark torture chamber, but no. But i guess that helps grabs the audience's attention. BUt a little blood and gore is always entertaining in a horror film.

Well, in most of them the people don't seem very bright and all, but technically they don't deserve to die per se, but it's still great that they do.

Some of them, if they were real, would be too stupid to live. I mean, here you are, alone and scared. You know there is a horrid monster loose. You come to a door, hear a low growling, a cut off shriek accompanied by a wet, ripping sound... blood seeps under the door. Anyone with a fraction of a brain would NOT open that door. However, in the horror movies, they have to open the door. If this was real life, I would call it death by stupidity. It would be thinning of the herd via natural selection and be a step towards improving the gene pool.

Yes, for my entertainment.
